A musical version of “Legally Blonde,” based on the hit movie starring Reese Witherspoon and the novel by Amanda Brown, will open on Broadway in April 2007.
The show, which has music and lyrics by Nell Benjamin and Laurence O’Keefe and a book by Heather Hach, tells the story of a determined young woman, who, when dumped by her boyfriend, goes to Harvard Law School, which her ex also attends.
No casting was announced, but the show will mark the Broadway directorial debut of Jerry Mitchell, who won a 2005 Tony Award for his choreography for the revival of “La Cage aux Folles.”

Well until next time….Stay Classy and Fab!

It is official and it starts tomorrow. R&B superstar and all around “make girls crazy” Usher will be playing legal ace Billy Flynn from August 22 to October 1 in Chicago. Having jumped at the chance to play Flynn, Usher says that he feels being on Broadway allows him to contact with his fans and the people in a totally different way.

And Usher is not a stranger to acting. Usher’s credits include a stint on the daytime soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful, a recurring role on the sitcom Moesha and numerous guest star spots. He played Marvin Gaye in an episode of American Dreams. He has been announced to produce and star in The Ballad of Walter Holmes, a feature film about an R&B singer to be directed by George C. Wolfe.

So if you can get a chance, go see Usher in Chicago. I am sure it will be smashing.

And until next time~Stay Classy and Fab.
